Who We Are
The Order of Saint Gabriel is a European and secular Chivalric Order, founded at the initiative of diplomats accredited in various European countries.
The purpose of the Order is to promote peace and human development throughout the world.
Rooted in the tradition of ancient Chivalric Orders, it operates with a universal vision of peace, aiming to support individual and collective actions targeted at the world’s most underprivileged countries.
The Order of Saint Gabriel is the sovereign body of the institution; it defines and implements the actions decided during the Magistral and Sovereign Councils. It is led by the Grand Master of the Order, assisted by the members of the Magistral Council.

How Does the Order Work?
The Order of Saint Gabriel operates according to the principles of contemporary Orders, whose associations, practices, and statutes are recognized in many countries within and beyond Europe.
Membership in the Order is open—upon admission—to current and former members of the Diplomatic and Consular Corps accredited in Europe and elsewhere.
The Order also welcomes state officials and representatives, as well as members of civil society, religious institutions, and the military who contribute through their actions to peace, the advancement of freedom, the sharing of knowledge, and the promotion of humanistic values.
The Members of the Order
The members of the Order of Saint Gabriel must be loyal, uphold the values defined in this Charter, defend the objectives of the Order, and remain faithful to their commitments.
They are expected to offer support and assistance to fellow Knights in difficulty, to the extent of their ability.
The Order is structured into three membership colleges:
- The Messengers (Diplomatic and Political)
- The Hospitallers (NGOs, Medical Professionals)
- The Builders (Secular, Military, Religious, etc.)
