Order of St. Gabriel – Representation in Greece
The Hellenic Chapter of the Order of St. Gabriel is a cornerstone of the Order’s presence in the Eastern Mediterranean. Faithful to the founding ideals of modern chivalry – solidarity, humanitarian commitment, peace, honor and fraternity –, this chapter acts both as an embassy of values and as a driving force for charitable initiatives.
Greece, the cradle of Western civilization, is a symbol of union between cultural heritage and contemporary action. The chapter acts in this spirit, serving the most deprived, forging diplomatic ties and participating in sustainable and social development projects in the region.

Missions and commitments of the Chapter
The Hellenic Chapter deploys an action on several strategic axes:
social and medical assistance
- Distribution of food parcels to Greek families in difficulty (particularly after the economic crisis of 2008)
- Support for shelters for abandoned or abused children
- Donations of medicines and medical equipment to hospitals in rural areas
Diplomatie Humanitaire
- Exchanges with Greek and European religious, cultural and political representatives
- Promotion of the values of peace, interreligious dialogue and respect for human dignity
Symbolic and cultural activities
- Annual organization of the Investiture Ceremony of the new knights
- Participation in national events (e.g. Greek independence day)
- Lectures on the history of knighthood orders in South-Eastern Europe

Zone of influence and partnerships
The Hellenic Chapter cooperates with:
- Local associations such as L'Arche d'Athènes or Doctors of the World – Greece
- Embassies and diplomatic representatives accredited to Athens
- Universities and cultural centers to promote history, humanist philosophy, and chivalric memory
It also forges links with the other chapters in the Balkans, notably in Serbia, Hungary and Bulgaria to carry out joint actions.
