Arrival - Reception - Dinner
This year the Order of Saint Gabriel met in Crete for its annual convention. The Greek Chapter has carefully prepared an interesting program which has allowed us to see the wonders of this cradle of Hercules and its mythical history and our civilization.
On the 23rd of October arrivals were made over the flights of our members who came from France, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Greece, Cyprus, we found ourselves 50 in the beautiful Hotel Aldemar Royal right in front of the sea.

Excursion / Visit the island of Santorini
On October 24th we left for the island of Santorini, a little gem flanked on the rock faces above the Aegean Sea. Unfortunately, the weather was not right and the gods had forgotten about us, indeed the rain was a rare occurrence on this island.
Santorini, in Greek Σαντορίνη, also called Théra or Thíra, Θήρα / Thíra, is an island in Greece located in the Aegean Sea. It is the largest and most populated island of a small volcanic archipelago comprising four other islands, to which its name is sometimes given (see archipelago of Santorini).

Departure for KNOSSOS and PHAISTOS in these two localities, the lieutenant general of Greece the General George Gueroulis had organized various working meetings with the Prefect of Crete and other civil servants. The retrospective, historical, political and economic of the island largely explained by Mr. Prefect, ended around a convivial meal in a famous inn of the city.

Meeting 2 : With Mr Stavros Arnaoutakis Regional Governor of Crete and other officials
Ceremony : Return to the hotel around 15:00 to prepare for the official ceremony of adoration which starts at 19:30 in accordance with the protocol and rituals in force. Ceremony which took place in the best way, with the adoubement of 7 new knights, Greek, French, German, and the nomination of the Commander of the Hospitallers of France Dr. Bruno Schaffner.
The evening that followed was a real success, bathed in a very warm atmosphere.

Meeting 1 : With Mr Stavros Arnaoutakis Regional Governor of Crete and other officials
October 26: After a second meeting with Mr.
Stavros Arnaoutakis, Regional Governor of Crete, we left for Chania and
Rethymnon two absolutely splendid and touristy small towns in which it
was good to hang out with friends.
Also in
these two cities we had the honor to meet the mayors who were very happy
and honored by our presence, each evoking the history of its city and
the economic and tourist attractions that they contain;
Long exchanges took place between the authorities and the members of the Order.
ODSG Magistral & Sovereign Council ODSG - A.G. of AIOHSG :
The return is made in the evening to attend the General Assembly of the AIOHSG, where the decision to transfer the seat in Switzerland is voted unanimously and the Sovereign Council in which two new appointments are made by the Grand Master of the Order HE Roland Roux de Boutechoux de Chavanes.
Mr. Konrad Hurny from Switzerland is named Bailiff of the Order of St. Gabriel, in this capacity he joins the Magistral Council with the Grand Master and will be responsible for monitoring the accounts of the AIOHSG and the control of the Baillis exercising in each national association the role of treasurer.
Also named Jean François Gautier, Seneschal of the Chapter of the Order in France and who in this capacity ensures the legal follow-up of the AOSG-France. He will be in charge of the tax file for France. Mr Gautier is well suited for this mission as a senior official from Bercy, to follow this issue. The Sénéchal is attached to the Lieutenant General the Order in France.
